COVID-19 Care FAQs
What are the safety guidelines that Imago Dei is following?
Imago Dei will be following the best recommendations of the CDC and will have to be flexible during this ever changing season. Here are the main changes that you can expect:
- Masks or face coverings are encouraged in the building by anyone 3 and up. We will have some available at the in the church foyer or at the welcome area for those who need them.
- Our building is set up with three different seating areas inside to allow for social distancing as you feel comfortable.
- We will continue to stream our services live online via YouTube and Facebook for those who are unable to join us in person.
Where should I park?
You are welcome to use the church’s parking lot or the US Bank parking lot on the south side of the building. In addition, you are welcome to park on either side of the street on the east side of the building, or use the French Immersion School parking lot. Then head to the main entrance on the east side of the building, which will bring you to the church foyer where you will be welcomed by a member of our hospitality team!
What about kids?
At this time, we are not having our regular kIDs Ministry available on Sunday mornings, so families are encouraged to engage in the worship service together! As we hope to support parents in discipling their children, we have a few resources that can be helpful for you on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. On Sundays, you can find the kIDs Kart stationed in the foyer with coloring and activity sheets that go with the week’s message for the children to use during the service. We would also encourage you to consider bringing quiet activities that will help to engage your children during church. For families with younger children, we have larger seating areas (8×10 foot squares) available in our Great Hall.
What if I don’t feel comfortable coming to church in person?
That is totally okay! While we hope to engage with you in person soon, we understand that not everyone is comfortable or has the ability to meet with us in person at this time. We would encourage you to stream our service live on YouTube and Facebook, and please fill out the Connect page of our website so we can get to know you better and help you continue to engage in other ways. If you would like weekly updates from Imago Dei, please join the Imago Dei Happening Group!
What do I do if I feel sick or test positive for COVID-19?
If you or anyone in your household has any COVID symptoms (fever or chills, cough shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea), we ask that you stay home. If you test positive for COVID and have been at Imago Dei Church, please contact Josh Lange at firstname.lastname@example.org so our team can respond and care for the church as needed.
What if I have more questions?
If you have questions or wish to discuss an individual issue, please reach out to Joshua Lange at email@example.com. The Covid Response team will continue to monitor developments as they occur and will provide further direction as these developments occur. We appreciate your individual efforts and your patience during these ever-changing times!
